Nortek Air Solutions – Rangerman

In August 2022, a Rangerman RM50, a "mouse" type AGV with a 500 kg capacity, was installed at Nortek Air Solutions Canada Inc. This AGV is used to optimize handling operations along a 1,400-foot route, including 25 pick & drop stations and one charging station. Directly managed by the parts warehouse supervisor, the Rangerman RM50 performs long-distance trips to supply assembly stations throughout the shifts. It also plays a key role in pallet transportation, ensuring the transfer of empty and full pallets from the receiving area to the warehouse. This solution has significantly reduced manual handling, improved internal flow efficiency, and ensured better logistical organization for all assembly and handling teams.

The product used in this project is the Rangerman RM50 AGV, an automated guided vehicle with a lifting capacity of 500 kg. To ensure safe transportation, standard plastic pallets are consistently used, enabling the handling of even non-compliant pallets when necessary. The AGV is directly managed by the warehouse supervisor, who oversees the initiation and monitoring of transport tasks.

An integrated "Dashboard," designed to meet Rangerman usage standards, simplifies the configuration of the most common transport tasks. With this user-friendly interface, all required handling operations can be completed in a single day with just one click. This solution not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces manual interventions, optimizing logistical flow management and overall productivity.
