On November 8th, the first edition of MercadOr Québec, Provincial Export Recognition Gala, took place, as more than 600 people answered the call to highlight the influence of SME export leaders. Among the 94 contestants in the running, 31 companies were finalists to finally select the 9 Quebec companies that won the honors.
Among these 9 laureates, two companies members of REAI, STAS from Saguenay and Mecademic of Montreal.
MercadOr Québec, organized by Commerce International Québec, the network of regional export promotion organizations (ORPEX), is a recognition gala for Quebec companies that are international leaders. The event will highlight the success of these SMEs and provide them with enviable visibility and notoriety at the regional and provincial levels. The organization wishes, by awarding these prizes, to stimulate the internationalization of Quebec businesses and to encourage Quebec SMEs to thrive to their full potential all over the world.
Nine categories are on the program of the competition: new exporter, export leader, diversification of markets, establishment abroad, digital strategy, innovative exporter, favorite and exporter of the year.
STAS was one of two favorites laureates and Mecademic won the New Exporter Award. Congratulations to all the winners !
